“527 Vineyard”
Livermore Valley

We found this jewel of a vineyard, with a total of 527 vines, in a very cool spot of the Livermore Valley. Nestled between the Wente Golf Course and the Sparkling Cellars, the small yield was thought to be the perfect amount for a blending varietal with our wines. What we got however was a classic Cabernet Franc which demanded a separate release. We acquiesced and though we steal a small amount for blending, we bottle the rest, all 79 cases, for you (and our) enjoyment!

This deep, Bing Cherry red wine has classic juicy black current/cassis and dried blueberry fruit aromas. It is augmented with rich loamy soil and cocoa powder low notes and white pepper high notes. The palate echoes the nose with the dried blueberry and now dried current flavors. Nicely balanced alcohol and acid levels are enhanced by raspy tannins that are sure to guarantee this wine will age gracefully over the years to come.

Aged in 100% French Oak: 1/3 new, 1/3 one year old, 1/3 two year old barrels. Blended with 1% Merlot
