II made this wine for my girlfriends who kept telling me they needed a Chardonnay to drink. My high school Spanish only took me so far, so instead of creating a wine “for my girlfriends,” I created a wine “for more girlfriends.”
Fresh cream butter yellow is the color of this opulent wine. Bright Asian pear and the soft floral scent of carnation offer the high notes and a blend of butter and brown sugar adds depth and richness. The palate follows through with fresh apple, citrus and macadamia nut. It is full-bodied but nicely balanced by medium plus acidity. The finish is long and reminiscent of toasty Cracker Jacks.
