II made this wine for my girlfriends who kept telling me they needed a Chardonnay to drink. My high school Spanish only took me so far, so instead of creating a wine “for my girlfriends,” I created a wine “for more girlfriends.”
This wine has a sunny green-gold color that is bright and crystal clear. It is a chardonnay which offers an exotic, tropical nose of pineapple, mandarin orange and Asian pear with hints of wet stone adding a refreshing mineral quality. Flavors of toasty hazelnuts are challenged by lemon zest and green pineapple and the characteristic cracker jack finish is brightened with the bitter sweet flavor of lemon marmalade.
