Our estate Merlot Vineyard is located in the southeast foothills of Livermore Valley and has one lovely California Live Oak that is home to a Red Tail Hawk. Michael and Rhonda fell in love with this vineyard in 1995 and envisioned building a home and raising their family amongst the vines. Rhonda dreamt of retiring as an airline pilot and making wine. Michael is still dreaming.
Merlot, Merlot, Merlot Amore! This estate wine gives us a floral blueberry top note supported by a line-dried freshness of carnation. A sweet brown sugar core that tells us the oak is integrating nicely. Deeply flavored, this wine has food friendly flavors of sour cherries and blood oranges. An inviting rough-velvet texture shows a perfect balance of tannin, alcohol and acidity.
